I loved this book as I do all the books that Diana Palmer writes. Once I start reading, I cannot put the book down. I love the strong male characters she writes about as well as the strong females in her books. I always have the feeling, I can't wait to see how it ends but then I never want it to end because it is so good. To me, that is a good book. Diana Palmer is my all time favorite author and I try to read everything she writes.

Reminds me of a 1970 romance novel. The hero is an alpha jerk until the very end and the female is a helpless virgin who loves her alpha jerk. As a 1970's romance it gets 4 stars as a modern day romance it would not rate that high, so read it for what it is.

This book is a blast from the past for me. That was the first book. The second book attached to my kindle copy was a good heart warming tale. This book would get only four stars as well. It was straight forward romance where one couple is getting married and their best man and lady in waiting fall in love.
I'm in familiar territory when I read a Palmer mercenary book. The mercs and retired mercs become almost a familiar family.
There's a cat fight, feisty heroine and a hero that literally saves the day. What more could you ask for in a romance novel. Micah's father marries Callie's mother and there is an instant attraction between the two, but a misunderstanding causes them not to see each other for sometime. When they meet again the action begins and doesn't end till the last chapter. You'll find the Diana Palmer 's typical 10 year plus age difference between the hero and heroine, meet up with a few previous heros and a scene with the hilarious Hart boys. I gave this book four stars because I reserve the 5 for The Australian, and Callaghan's Bride. With every Diana Palmer book, this is a keeper. Enjoy.
